Relaxing the night before our big walk at the beautiful Hipping Hall.

Just getting started. It's a shame the weather wasn't as clear as we expected.

...and now we're slightly lost.

So while the man tries to find our way down, I stay busy taking photos!

East Lothian, Scotland

The amazing Greywalls Hotel which houses Chez Roux restaurant. If you ever visit East Lothian, I highly recommend this hotel. The food and service are impeccable!

Our cozy suite away from the main building with its own cute entrance. Champagne on arrival, hello!

While the man was admiring the whiskey menu, Vanity Fair circa 1880s caught my attention.

We thought it would be a good idea to go on a long walk by the coast. I was expecting to see castles by the coast, but no. We followed a route the concierge recommended, which was supposed to take one and a half hours. Two hours later, we were nowhere close to the end of the trail. No castles, rocky coast, dark clouds, crazy winds. But hey, weather's never bad enough to pose for a picture!

After about two and a half hours, we saw houses and a glimpse of a town from afar and decided to cut our walk short. There were no clear signs to lead us off the coast, and we somehow ended up in the middle of a golf course with a bunch of golfers waiting for us to run past before they took their shots. Awkward.

We found the town, couldn't find a cab and ended up flagging down a bus only to realize after we got on that we flagged a school bus! The bus driver was nice enough to take us anyway. Not quite the walk we expected when we first started the day, but fun nonetheless!
